3Your pension scheme
4Fitment factor

The number your basic pay will be multiplied by. It is not decided yet, so try a few.

Your monthly pension (old pension, before DR): ₹76,800

8th CPC basic pay₹1,53,600
Old pension (OPS)50% of last basic pay with at least 10 years of qualifying service₹76,800
Unified Pension Scheme (UPS)50% of the last 12 months' average basic at 25 years; in proportion from 10 years; at least ₹10,000₹76,800

Dearness Relief is added on top and rises every six months.

The UPS figure assumes your individual corpus meets the benchmark and you take no final withdrawal; otherwise the payout is lower.

This is an estimate. The 8th Pay Commission has not given its report yet, so the fitment factor, pay matrix and allowances are not decided.

Which scheme applies to you

Old pension (CCS Pension Rules, 2021) covers those who joined before 1 January 2004. NPS covers later joiners, who could choose the Unified Pension Scheme from 1 April 2025. Under NPS the pension depends on your corpus and annuity, so it is not shown here.
